The Mystery of the Beatitudes

The Beatitudes are an important part of the Sermon on the Mount. They are usually interpreted as promises fulfilled as a reward for a moral way of life. Jan van Rijckenborgh, however, reveals the nine Beatitudes as a series of nine clear-cut steps which together form the path of liberation. This path can be followed by anyone who is willing to renounce I-centrality, so that the original, divine Self can be reborn.
